Xin Wang Hongkong Cafe: Treat or treats

These days, the heat of the sun was so irritating. We have nothing to do. Bored. And yes. We watched Skyfall and decided to have our dinner here with family. I was expecting for some meat for the night, but we all went curious on this new restaurant.
My father loves to eat noodles so we tried this new restaurant just beside IMAX in Mall of Asia.
It's the first of November, yet there were so many people strolling around the mall. Thus, the restaurant was almost filled with customers. The waiters were also dressed up just right for the halloween!
Siew Mai ( P100.00 - 4 pcs ) - Four pieces of fully stuffed siomai goodies. A bit pricy but it can give you authentic flavors of China even on the first bite!
Deep-fried Cauliflower with Spicy Mayo Sauce ( P105.00 ) - Fresh cauliflower coated with soft and crispy breading. It's a good start for our dinner. However, I would want it to be on a 'bite-sized' shape.
Fish 'N' Chips ( P225.00 ) - Soft fish fillet coated in light crunchy breading. The lemon gave a unique zesty hint on the fish. Some healthy (?) stuff here!
XW Signature Stir-fried Noodles ( P235.00 ) - Fully loaded with fresh seafood and veggies! Great serving, thus I only munched down half of the serving.
I don't know if it's only me, but it's a bit bland, maybe because I'm used to salty noodles. But the crunchy dilis gave that mild salty flavor which turned out to be a great match on the noodles!
HK Iced Milk Tea ( P75.00 ) - It seems a legit experience having my drink in a stainless steel cup. I love milk teas, no wonder why I ordered this drink for the night. The taste was not bad, however I felt a grainy texture as I sip in to the cup. Probably, the ingredients were not blended well to produce a smooth texture on the drink.
Great night with fam bam! Actually, I treated my parents on this day because as we all know, it's pay day! Hooray for the working girl! :)

Dinner Date at Marriott Cafe

It's Halloween time! Years ago, me and my cousins had trick or treats inside a mall in Manila. I was hoping that I'll have that chance again this year, however, my cousins couldn't go. Me and mom just pushed through on the dinner and just adore the wide variety of kids and adults in costumes! Oh, I wish next time I'll have a chance to wear a costume for halloween! ;)

We had our dinner date at Marriott Cafe, we weren't ready for the buffet so we just ordered an ala carte meal. There were so many kids in costumes with pumpkin baskets from the restaurant. Even the staff were in halloween attires, and they're in really good costumes!
Happy Halloween! :)
Soft and chewy slices of bread!
Frozen Ice Tea - Very refreshing!! It tastes like a fruit smoothies, I can barely recognize the tea essence but this is one great drink for the night! :)
Free squirrel stuffed toy from the Frozen Iced Tea! Sweet! :)
Margherita Pizza - Tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil.
Unlike other pizzas, this one is not oily! The crust though is not that soft so I had a hard time on slicing it. Though, the taste is okay for me, just because I want more flavor or sauce on the pizza.
Chili Wings - Six pieces of chicken wings! Not so chili, by the way. Just perfect to munch in for the night. I love how the cucumber slices helped to neutralize our taste buds.
Me and mom! ♥
Can you spot the waiter at the back? Hahaha! Jack Sparrow costume. That's how prepared the staff were! :)

Super busog and enjoy with mom! Yey! :)

Twenteen and two

Gaaah. Getting older but still young at heart. I celebrated my birthday at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati. Unfortunately, I was sick the night before my birthday so I wasn't able to eat much during our dinner at Sentro, Greenbelt 3.

I really have no idea where to eat dinner, but since we got to Greenbelt and this one's on my "Resto List", I suggested to eat at Sentro. The waiters were not that accommodating even though the restaurant is not full of customers.
Le them while choosing what to order. Of course I suggested their best seller, Sinigang na corned beef.
Pandan Lemon Cooler - A different taste of drink. Lemony at first with an after-taste of pandan. Worth a try! :)
Boneless Crispy Trotter - Deboned Crispy Pata. The best crispy pata I've ever tasted. Aside from its crunchiness, it's deboned so customers will not have a hard time on eating this.
Sinigang na Corned Beef - Corned beef short ribs and boneless shanks in tamarind broth. The beef was really tender and delicious. Before they serve this dish, they will offer a cup of sinigang soup to check your desired sourness of the dish. That's really a great idea since some people don't want too much sourness of the dish. This bowl is for sharing serving, a bit small? Maybe or maybe not. The bowl is full of vegetables and beef, and don't have much soup. We didn't got a chance of asking for more soup, but I think they really give additional soup for the sinigang.
 Almost done eating!
Maja Blanca - Free dessert for every 500php on your bill during Sundays. They also have Classic Ginataan but I didn't got a chance to have a picture of it.
Family picture with Yano who don't want to face the camera but wants to join the picture.
After having our sumptuous dinner at Sentro, we proceed to the Swimming Pool of Dusit Hotel since Aki, Yano, and Mom wants to swim though the pool is just open until 9 PM.
No, this is not ours. But I really find it cute when I see miniature type of things.
Dusit Hotel's Swimming Pool at 10 AM.
Though they really have a great location (beside the hotel are shopping malls like Glorietta, easy access to different places since it's beside EDSA, bunch of food choices, etc.), staying at Dusit is really not that relaxing since it lies in Makati, and beside this is EDSA. Aside from seeing trees, you'll see cars all around the area.
Buffet Lunch at Basix, Dusit Hotel.
Shrimps, Chicken, and Lamb meat. Very tender and tasty!
Mom and I tried there pasta. They'll cook it first with your choice of ingredients and pasta. Personally, I   didn't like it very much. I hate the bacon, it doesn't smell good. Haha.

I don't feel perfectly fine that moment so I didn't ate much. They don't have tempura, they only serve it during dinner. Their buffet doesn't appetizing aside from the desserts. I like their cheesecake! But I appreciate the chef that personally went out of the kitchen and suggested good dishes for us. Their staff was really accommodating. Though I'm not on a buffet mode, I think the food at that moment was limited. I want to go back here to experience the Family Crossover Brunch Buffet during Sundays, maybe it will change my feedback on their buffet. I heard it's really one of the best!

Still no cake. It's not too late to blow a birthday cake! Yay, I hope someone give me a birthday cake from Tous Les Jours, I'm a fan of their decorative cakes. I hope it taste good. :)

♥ Not officially a twenteen-two, A :)

Brown and Pearls

Hooray! Today's the Oathtaking Ceremony of New Professional Electronics Engineers, Registered Electronics Engineers and Registered Electronics Technicians at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia. The 'program' (I thought an oathtaking has a formal program to go through, however, the master of the ceremony is a bit kenkoy so the entire ceremony seemed as not-so-formal) started 30 to 40 minutes late and ended around 4 in the afternoon. The worst part of the day was the claiming of the PRC id, which do not have a systematic distribution. Right after the closing remarks, people rushed through the tables on the left side of the stage to get their id. However, since most of the people were hungry and there's no one said anything about the flow of id distribution aside from the letter labels where people should go, the claiming was really really a riot. We were like inside an MRT on a rush-hour or the crowd in a concert where I can't really see where I'm going to. *Gaaah* And they separate the line of the PRC id and the ratings sheet so I need to fall in line twice.
I planned to wear brown/skin tone color of dress which I bought from Pop Culture; bag from Oasis; wedge from Payless and pearl accessories from Palawan.
It's now official. I'm a Licensed Electronics Engineer. ♥

After the oathtaking ceremony, we went to Racks at Mall of Asia to have our sumptuous dinner! I was so hungry! **Not so mouthwatering photos since we're all hungry to consider retakes! ;)
The famous MOA Eye (180 ft tall) worth P 150.00 for one round which takes about 10 minutes. It has 36 air-conditioned gondolas (each gondola can carry 6 persons).
Pink Lemonade - Well, as you can see, the serving is small. Fortunately, I liked the taste of the lemonade, it was not too sour nor too sweet. In addition, it has fruit bits to quench that thirsty tongue!
Epic Racks Original Barbeque Sauce
House Salad - I was shocked that it was served with garlic bread on the side. The bread was amazing! That thin strips are apple! It's an ordinary salad served with a raspberry sauce (interesting!).
Carbonara - This is a solo serving served with two garlic bread. For me, this is one of the best carbonara I've ever tasted. The sauce was creamy and the meat (ham) was of enough serving.
Racks Classic Pork Ribs (Half Rack) - It was served with garlic bread and two side dishes, Corn on the Cob and Broccoli and Cheese
Look at this yummy pork ribs! It was really really tender and great. It really falls off the bone! I'm so into it that even right now I wanna eat at Racks again. ;)
We asked if they can shred the corn. Yey! This was just perfect for ribs!
Mississippi Mud Pie - Who will let the day end without eating a dessert? This is their famous one. This is really something - a comfort zone. The mud pie is served hot, topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream drizzled with chocolate syrup!

We rushed to the Cinemas to watch Avengers! However, the next schedule for a not 3D Avenger movie (I really don't like watching 3Ds) will start at 9:45 PM (it's just 7:30 PM at that time). We don't want to wait long, so we just purchased Avengers tickets at Director's Club. Hell yeah, it was my first time to watch there, unfortunately, few seats left so I sat on the first row seat. Good thing the comfy seat was adjustable so I could turn it into a 'bed' so I won't have a hard time watching the movie (again).

This was a fun long day for me! So much blessings! Thank You Lord! Next on the line is to find a good job! But I would really like to enjoy this summer vacation first before the intense job hunt. :p

♥ Au revoir! :)
